How much does it cost to use and what do I get?
Each SMS query costs R2.00. In return you receive up to three SMS replies (or one combined message depending on your handset) containing up to 8 different suppliers of the product or service that you requested. You do not pay anything for the messages you receive. Calls to the call centre on 082 286 7000 are charged at standard VAS rates. You also do not pay for any SMS messages you receive. USSD will cost you R2 per minute. You do not pay anything for the messages you receive. Using our website www.34600.co.za is free!

How does it work? How are the results sorted; who determines which numbers come first?
When you search for something on iFIND 34600, whether by SMS, USSD, Internet or using the call centre, the iFIND 34600 search engine sorts through the iFIND advertiser database looking for relevant keywords. It finds the listings that have the relevant keywords and uses a complex algorithm containing keyword relevance, distance, listing, and advertiser status, to compile a prioritized list of the most relevant companies. This list is then returned to the user in up to three SMS replies.

How long do I have to wait for the information?
The results are available within seconds of the request having been received at iFIND 34600. However, there are a number of factors that influence the actual receipt and delivery of SMS messages generally including how busy the networks are and other network related constraints. Our research has indicated that results are received within a minute of the query being sent to iFIND 34600.

Will iFIND 34600 work on my mobile phone or handheld device?
If your mobile phone is able to receive SMS messages (99% of phones still in use in SA) iFIND will work. However, not all handsets are USSD capable. Please check with your network provider to see if your specific handset is.

Does iFIND 34600 know where I am sending my query from?
Currently only the Vodacom network is capable of providing handset location information to iFIND. If a Vodacom subscriber sends in a query without specifying a location, by default the location of the handset is used for the relevancy search. This information is provided to iFIND in the form of latitude and longitude and not an actual location name. iFIND 34600 then plots the location on a map (visible to the call centre operator) and then assists the user to find the most relevant suppliers.

Will my location information be available to others?
Your location information will not be used for any other purpose than to provide you with information from the iFIND 34600 service.

Does iFIND 34600 work everywhere; can I find pizza in Cape Town or biltong in Barberton?
Generally, yes. We have gone to great lengths to ensure that our database is current, accurate and relevant. We are dependent on the companies that subscribe to the service to provide accurate information relating to the products and services that they provide. We are convinced that as time goes on, iFIND 34600 will become more and more accurate as both users and advertisers discover the benefits.

Is iFIND 34600 available on all the networks?
Yes, it is available on Vodacom, MTN, CellC and Telkom.

Do other languages work on iFIND 34600?
Initially only English will be used. Some words like "biltong" and "spaza" are so popular that they will in all probability be included by many advertisers in their keywords. Translation modules are planned for the future depending on the feedback we get from both users and advertisers.

What if I make a spelling mistake?
The iFIND 34600 search engine has been developed specifically to be robust enough to take care of common spelling mistakes. In all probability it will recognise your mistake and return the correct results anyway. If not, phone our call centre on 082 286 7000 for assistance.

Can I use my free SMS messages for iFIND 34600?
Unfortunately not at this stage. Limitations in the cellular networks do not allow us to accept messages from bundled SMS packages.

Each advertising profile features a 150 word company description, your company logo, banner ad copy, contact information and up to three unique website links.

How do I update my profile?
Please log into your account with your user name and password. When you log in you are redirected to the edit my [profile page where you are able to enter your company profile information or make edits to your current profile. The profile section is limited to approximately 750 words. When you have finalized your profile information, press the submit button to save the information. All the the changes will dynamically display but , you will have to open a new browser to see the new profile. The profile section provides you with an opportunity to communicate a compelling value proposition to directory visitors.

How do I upload or change my logo? (Werner?)
Our directories allocate a 100x50 pixel space for a logo in a JPG format. If you need to edit your logo, you can use an editing program, such as Photoshop, Infranview or MS Paint. After your logo is sized to fit the requirements, make sure to save it as a JPG file by selecting "save as" in the file menu and then changing the "file type" to JPG.

How do I update my website link?
Please log into your account using your user name and password. Click on the "contact info" tab and you will see a section for your website address. Please add or modify your URL link to the appropriate web page.

Each advertising profile features a 750-word company description, your company logo, banner ad copy, contact information and up to three unique website links.

How do I set up a landing page so I can track the click-throughs on my end?
You can track your business directory results by adding "?referrer=iFIND" at the end of your URL. For example, if your normal destination URL is "http://www.yourcompany.com/products". Simply turn that into "http://www.yourcompany.com/products?referrer=iFIND". If you have multiple listings with IFind, you can set the source to refer to each individual campaign enabling you to uniquely identify the campaign from which the visitor came. The click-through information will match the information that you find in the IFind Campaign Center.

How do I access my account?
Click on advertiser login to access your account.

I entered my username and password. Why am I unable to login?
The username and password are distributed to you in your welcome e-mail immediately after you subscribe to the service. Your username and password are case sensitive. If you have forgotten your password, please submit your email address in the designated space and press enter. You will receive an email indicating your correct username and password. If you continue to have issues, please contact the customer service department.

How do I change my username and password?
Click on advertiser login to access your account using your current username and password. Click on the "contact info" tab and you will see a section for your user name and password. Please add or modify your username and password in the fields provided.

How do I report bugs or errors?
If you find a bug or error in the system, please contact our customer service team using our contact us page.

Which browsers are supported within the iFIND directory?
iFIND supports a broad range of Internet browsers, reaching approximately 95% of all Internet users.
